Oakland Condo Market

Oakland is a great place to live and experience the world. Most of the East Bay and Bay Area are thriving in culture. Oakland real estate unlike most of the country is holding on fairly well. Yes, there has been a change and yes homes are staying on the market longer but the correct pricing and marketing will help to get the property sold. One of my clients is a first time buyer. In his early thirties like myself he is just breaking into the home investment age. Those of us in the 25-40 range have been cursed with the negatives of the markets growth in the past 10 years. We have been pressed out of the market. Many now have to look to our parents to have any chance to enter. There is always the condo market. However, be aware that condos are the first to lose value and purchasing in the right area and type of condominium community is what will help you keep and hopefully earn equity in. Don't go by in the giant complex that hasn't been updated in 3o years... unless it is known that this will occur soon. To be continued...
